In The Brother’s Grimm Spectaculathon, two narrators and their ragtag troupe of actors attempt to combine all 209 Brothers Grimm tales into one madcap fairy‑tale extravaganza. This fourth‑wall‑breaking comedy takes the audience on a fast‑paced, rollicking ride from familiar classics like Snow White, Cinderella, and Hansel and Gretel to more bizarre, obscure stories such as Faithful Johannes and The Girl Without Hands. Disney this is not!
We are looking for a cast of five playful, comic actors to multi role over 40 characters, bringing these tales to life as we ricochet from story to story in this irreverent re-telling.
With fourth-wall breaking moments when an “audience member” gets involved in the action, a one-man rendition of Cinderella and two narrators who just trying to keep the show on the road, this will be a fun opportunity for performers who want to stretch their comic acting skills.
This amateur production of ‘The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon’ is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd on behalf of Samuel French Ltd. concordtheatricals.co.uk
